The A-Gas Reclamation V6 project involves the reclamation and use of certified reclaimed hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) refrigerants to service existing refrigeration and air conditioning equipment throughout the United States. By opting for reclaimed HFCs, this project prevents the production of virgin high Global Warming Potential (GWP) HFCs and the subsequent greenhouse emissions. Reclaimed refrigerants serve as a viable alternative to virgin refrigerants, effectively displacing their use, production, and potential emission through leaks during normal operation The facility in Rhome, Texas, specifically recovers and reclaims HFC refrigerants, such as R-134a, R-404a, R-407a, R407c, and R-410a, from 50+ sources throughout the US market and ensures they meet industry standards for resale in the refrigerant aftermarket. Note: ACR references a facility in Bowling Green, OH. The facility in Bowling Green offers testing services to the Rhome facility discussed in this project using an in-house laboratory.
